Having been a massage therapist for almost twenty years when she got started with doTERRA essential oils, Meredith is aware of how her body was impacted by her career choice as a hands-on practitioner. The physical demands of hands-on therapy is very distinct from those in other manual labor positions. Practitioners spend a lot of time on their feet, which taxes the lower body. More importantly, the therapy sessions require constant hand flexing, stretching and gripping throughout the day. Stamina and steadiness in hand muscles are critical to long-term success in this career. In order to preserve themselves, practitioners sometimes need to take a break from their work. But, taking a break means not seeing clients and not getting paid. Burnout starts in the depths of your being. When you ignore the quiet whispers of your own needs for long enough; putting clients needs first, your body lets you know it’s time for a change. Meredith's body was screaming at her through the language of sensation: pain, disconnection, discomfort, exhaustion, brain fog, fatigue and the list goes on and on. She knew there MUST be a better way to serve her clients AND put her body FIRST! 

Meredith now uses her talents, know-how and abilities to facilitate a shift within healers to become Leaders in the growing health-modality of essential oils. She now supports & mentors healing arts practitioners to transition into a Leadership role with dōTERRA which can create a residual income giving them time freedom to live a life on their own terms, releasing them from the burden of burn-out, allowing them to take breaks and schedule their work around their free time…not the other way around.
